The bait and switch comment was more about how there's this prevailing archetype of the forum user who believes that Apple is just using Logic to sell hardware, literally baiting you to switch to Mac. The midi notes in DP can be displayed and playbacked (normal notes), only displayed but not playbacked (mute notes), not displayed but only playbacked (you would typically assign last option to a keyswitch note).
